Known Donor Panel

Join us for this panel exploring the nuances of navigating known donor relationships. Panelists include a queer sperm donor, trans egg donor, a donor conceived person, and a donor-recipient parent exploring their diverging and intersecting experiences.

Our panelists include:

Jonathan Rodkin (he/him) is the founder of Sperm Donor Doula and is a proud known sperm donor to three queer families. As a doula, Jonathan supports intended parents through the journey of selecting and working with known sperm donors. He is grounded by his belief that families with known-donor-conceived kids are exemplars of connection, creativity and joy. He is based in Brooklyn.

Kenny Ethan Jones (he/him) is an inclusivity advocate, founder of LostFame (a masculine-styled period underwear brand) and Author of Dear Cisgender People: A Guide to Allyship and Empathy. He recently captured widespread attention on TikTok documenting his journey as a trans man harvesting his eggs to donate to his sister, bringing a rarely told story to a broad audience with openness and depth.

Mandy Bach (any pronouns) is a creative and whimsical Californian living in a communal home in Brooklyn, NY with their friends and their cat, Cashew. For work, they are the program director of a social justice fellowship for young adults. Mandy is a twin raised by a single mother by choice with a known donor. They love making collaborative art, swimming in the ocean at Coney Island, and drinking their morning matcha.

Janel Lloson (she/her) is a queer black person of color living in the Bay Area. Originally from Sacramento, she met her partner, Jordan, in college and they are now the happy parents to their one year old, Dove. Janel was the gestational parent to Dove, who was conceived via at-home insemination through a known donor. Janel is passionate about the beach, home birth, and queer family building.

MORE ABOUT PREGNANTTOGETHER:

Hi! I am Marea Goodman, LM, CPM (they/them), a licensed midwife, published author, and parent. I have over thirteen years of experience working with folks who are pregnant or trying to get pregnant, and am also the founder of PregnantTogether— because I’m deeply passionate about supporting queer folks and solo parents through the whole process of growing their families, and building community in the process.

Note: your first two weeks of membership to our PregnantTogether community is FREE and only $20/mo thereafter with no commitment. This and all future events are always free for community members. In the community you can connect with other pregnant people or folks trying to conceive, receive advice for your virtual midwife (me!) and attend all PregnantTogether events and workshops like this one for free! You’ll also get access to TONS of recorded resources that will make this journey less overwhelming. The community is a nurturing, resourceful, and safe place for queer folks, solo parents, and anyone who has ever felt like they don’t belong in the dominant narrative of what “family” should be.

If you'd like to join the community and receive FREE access to this and all future events, head to community.pregnanttogether.com and sign up. Don't purchase a ticket here! Joining the community gets you free access.
